    This May Marks the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Denmark On April 9, 1940 after one of the shortest battles in history lasting a mere six hours, Denmark was occupied by the Nazis. They would remain under Nazi control until May 1945 when they were liberated by Allied Forces. During the time of occupation in Denmark, as in many other occupied countries the Nazis were on the hunt for innocent Jews. Amazingly though, about 90 percent of Danish Jews survived the Holocaust.
