Anyone who has read my blog knows I love reading. But they may not know that I am also an avid knitter!
I learned to knit about ten years ago, and since then have enjoyed making many projects. Last month I joined the February Yarn Along, which you can find here. This month I decided to join Ginny (from the blog Small Things) again in the March yarn along. So, here goes!
My current knitting project is sweet little baby romper.
You can find the pattern I am using here. I am making it in the 3-6 month size. It’s knit in four different pieces. The font, which features a simple cable all the way down, the back, and then the two straps. It’s a fairly easy pattern.
Here are some more photos of it.
What do you think?
And of course this would not be a Yarn Along post, if I did not mention the books I was reading at the same time. The first, which I just finished reading yesterday was Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield.
I quite liked this book. I will be writing a post about it in the near future, so keep an eye out for it!
The next book in the stack is Beyond the Bright Sea by Lauren Wolk.
By the author of Wolf Hollow, this is the story of Crow a twelve-year-old girl. She lives on a bit of the Elizabeth Islands in Massachusetts. She has lived there all her life, with Osh, the man who rescued her from a small abandoned boat, and Miss Maggie, their neighbor across the sandbar.
The book at the bottom of the stack is my Lenten read. It is called Disiderata by David P. Eich. The author uses the fifteen mysteries of the rosary to the reader important Christian virtues, and how to use them in our lives.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. It was my pleasure to share with you my latest knitting project, and I always love going on about books I’m currently reading. Let me know what think in the comment section below!
