February 2019 Round Up
This month has been a bit slower of a reading month for me. Last month I read quite a few books, you can find that list here.
This month, I’ve really been trying to buckle down on school. But despite being really busy with that, as well as getting quite a bit of knitting down, and two quilt tops put together, I didn’t do to bad. So, here are my reads for February 2019: The first book was The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street by Karina Yan Glaser
I was excited to finally read this! I don’t know why I didn’t read it earlier. It was a really great book. It reminded me of The Melendy Quartet, and The Penderwicks, both of which are very dear to me.
This next book is The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry. This was interesting, let me tell you. I wasn’t quite sure what to think about it, while I was reading it. It reminded me very strongly of some of the books Roald Dahl has written, which if you have read my post about his books, is not a good thing.
When I finished though, I had some strong opinions about this book which you can find in the review I wrote here.
Last, but not least is Blue Birds by Caroline Starr Rose. This book was a fascinating piece of historical fiction. The story of an unusual, and even dangerous friendship.
This book will keep you engaged from start to finish.
I wrote a review of it, which you can find here.
There you have it! I hope to read a few more books next month than I did this month.
