A Race Around the World

The year is 1889, the place is New York, when a young reporter named Nellie Bly decides to do the impossible. Her goal, inspired by Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days is to circumnavigate the globe in only 75 days! Something that hadn’t ever been achieved, not even in the pages of a book.

Little does she know, that just mere hours after setting off on her legendary trip, a different New York publisher sent one of their writers, Elizabeth Bisland in the opposite direction to race her and beat her time.

Naturally, only one of the spunky women could win the race, but both completed their journeys in record breaking time.
